Beth Sholom Congregation of Johnstown, Pennsylvania is a proud and remarkable Jewish community. From our humble beginnings in the post-Civil War era of peddlers disembarking from the railroad to today, many wonderful events have occurred here. Fully .2% of every dollar raised for human services in Israel has been generated from this synagogue. Although we are few in number, our Diaspora still clings to the extraordinary traditions created by our warm and caring Jewish members many generations ago.
